Commissioner Frank Avila invited the MWRD (Metropolitan Water Reclamation District Board of Commissioners), Elected Officials & Civic Leaders for an environmental boat ride along the North Side of the Chicago River aboard the Summer of George on Wednesday, September 16th, 2009. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served while guests were treated to a presentation about the complex waterway system managed and protected by the MWRD.
